Correction, I want this camera instead!

My mouth waters.

Forget the Panasonic LX3. This is what I actually want. And I made a mistake. The LX3 doesn’t have interchangeable lenses. I hope the Olypums Pen sells more so that Panasonic drops the price of this one. lol! But honestly, that doesn’t seem like it’ll happen.

I’m not going to make a camera review since there are so many available out there and I have yet to try this camera. check out this site for a good review on the Panasonic GF1 and some sample photos from (refer to link of sample photos) from this little beauty. But based on the reviews, I personally think this wins over the Olympus EP1 because..

1) It has faster Auto Focus (the PEN doesn’t)<- really important for me

2) It has a viewfinder (the PEN doesn’t)
3) It has built in flash (the PEN doesn’t)
4) It comes in red (the PEN doesn’t)…i love red, though I heard the colored ones are still only available in Japan.
Ok. This wasn’t meant to bash the Olympus EP1 (Sorry Christina, I know you love the Olympus and Imma let you finish but the Panasonic GF1 is better than the Olympus any day.. any day! Kidding. Peace girl *much love* )

I have yet to wait a little more and research a little more. Besides, knowing the price (USD 900 *mega sniff*), I’d have to close a really big deal at work, or quite a number of smaller deals, before I can afford this. That may take a little more time considering the other goals I have in line.

Well, you can help me by donating to “Buy Patty a camera” fund if you want. :P Maybe I should just ask people to contribute to my “Buy Patty a camera ” fund for Christmas instead of them buying me gifts. hehe

    Ooooo what is this??? I've not heard of it until today and it sounds tres exciting! Is the GF1 one-up on the LX3?

    Yup!

    But wait, there's more. Hold on to your cash first. Olympus might just release an EP2 by the end of the year.

    It should address all the flaws of EP1! My photoholic uncle made a good point in a message to me that, the EP is better because it has Image Stabilizer whereas the Panasonic don't.

    I'm no expert, I think you'd know this more than me… in this case, its the lenses that count. Imma do more research because I want to buy a camera by next year! :)

    Its a good selling point huh. :P

    well, go for it if you don’t mind spending like Php 47,000 for something you find red, shiny, and pretty. Heck, I would if I could!
